1.HNL 2024./2025. Ne postoji stručno kao zadnji igrač, nego dogso:
1. Denying an Obvious Goal-Scoring Opportunity (DOGSO):
A player must be sent off (red card) if they commit a foul that denies an opponent an obvious goal-scoring opportunity. This often happens when the defender is the last man and fouls the attacker who is through on goal.
Key factors referees consider:
Distance to goal
General direction of the play
Likelihood of controlling the ball
Number of defenders (usually if it’s just the attacker and the goalkeeper)
2. Double Jeopardy Rule (Clarification):
If the foul occurs inside the penalty area and it was a genuine attempt to play the ball, only a yellow card is given (not red), even if it denies a goal-scoring opportunity. This rule is meant to avoid a "double punishment" of red card + penalty kick.
Examples:
If a defender trips a player outside the box with no one else between the attacker and goal = Red card.
If the same happens inside the box and the defender tried to play the ball = Yellow card + penalty.
If it's a deliberate foul (pulling shirt, pushing, no intent to play the ball), it's still a red card, even inside the box.
